Hi, I have a small problem for which I would like you people to help me out. I have been using my system since a few years which runs XP on it. A few days back ,I had been out and during that time my kids deleted some important video files and databases that are now required. To have more troubles I have re-installed windows on that and now I need the deleted ones back. So, I am looking for a software that can be the best resort to my problem.

Please help me out in getting one!!!!

There are a lot of data recovery softwares in the market today. I tried to google that and also your question but instead, I saw this very same post you made to several other forums but with different login ids. I know that it's impossible for 10 or more people to be posting the same and asking the same question as you, so I guess you're out to promote your data recovery software.

Technically, nothing gets deleted off of a computer...so if you know someone who is somewhat computer savvy, they can usually recover them.

True, the only way to truly "delete" a computer file is to destroy the machine completely.

Recently I was also looking for a program that would recover deleted files. As for me, Advanced File Recovery is a good and decent deleted file recovery application. This tool can be used to preview and recover deleted documents, images, videos, compressed files (archives), and all other file types.

Items wont be deleted from the computer as it will always be backed up somewhere on the computer. Usually on computers, theres atleast 3 backups before it will be deleted completley. You should save them to a device should as a external hardrive, thats what i do :)

Thats what i would do, as then it will be backed up unless someone deletes it completly :) lol.

Sorry but I think no software is really effective and successful in recover deleted data.
If they're documents or pictures, maybe it works but you just can get a part of the data.If they're videos or animations,it's impossible to recover them

There are many software's to recover your data,
i think datarecoverysoftware.com would be the best one.
You can find the software for all the file systems, i.e., NTFS,FAT,Pendrive's, digital cameras....

Some great suggestions there, thanks everyone for helping out. The YouTube tutorials are particularly useful. I have to be honest I often don't think of YouTube when looking for help with something, but there is a vast array of helpful information and resources there.

I have used Advanced File Recovery previously for this purpose.I will also recommend you to restore your machine to that time when you deleted those files required. Thus you can recover those deleted files. You can also use Tuneup Undelete for recovering deleted files.

    Tips For Data Recovery

Anytime your hard drive crashes or you lose your data, you’ll need to turn to data recovery to properly restore your information. Data recovery is something most computer users are familiar with, as a majority of us have had to turn to data recovery at some point in time. Even though hard drives are becoming better and better, they are still mechanical and will always encounter problems.

The first thing to do, before any problems happen, is to always back up your data. If you create backups of your information, you’ll be well prepared in the event of a disaster. This way, even if your hard drive cannot be repaired and the data is lost forever, you’ll have the back ups to continue going as normal. If you didn’t make back ups, you’ll find the situation very traumatic when you discover that your data cannot be recovered.

Most hard drives will last for years before they start to encounter any type of malfunction or hardware problems. You can help prevent data loss by turning off your computer when it isn’t in use, or shutting it down when you hear the hard drive making an odd noise. If the hard drive starts to malfunction, letting it continue to run will only do more damage. If you shut it off immediately and take it to a specialist, you’ll have a much better chance of getting it repaired.

With natural disasters, hackers, viruses, or other problems, you won’t have the time to react. Before you know it, your hard drive will be damaged and your data will be gone. Although this can be very frustrating, data recovery can normally bring your information back. All you need to do is take the hard drive to a local specialist, then let them work their magic and show you the power of data recovery.

There are software programs out there that claim to recover lost data, although you should avoid them at all costs. Most of time, these software programs will do your hard drive more bad than good. Even though software may cost a lot less than professional data recovery services, the professional services will guarantee their work. If you turn to software and it only makes things worse - your more or less out of luck, as the software doesn’t guarantee anything.

Anytime your hard drive fails and you seem to have lost your data, you should turn to professional data recovery services immediately. They may cost you a lot of money, although they do the job right the first time. When it comes to your data, you really don’t want to take any chances - especially if you had important documents and files stored on your hard drive.

    Hi,

I have a simple solution for you, if you have deleted them then just restore back from Recycle Bin.
I think that was easy but why all suggested softwares I don't know.

Well, these software recovers files deleted permanently on one computer directory.
In layman's term, deleted from the Recycle Bin.
