Generally we look for server that gives more uptime. Do you mean to use the service that can monitor it's uptime?

Is that really possible? I believe when there is sudden crash or accidents we cannot be informed with a information before it.

Yes, I'm asking about the monitoring service, not about servers.

They can't predict the future but they can warn you that your server is being overloaded, hence giving you the chance to do something about it. They also let you know if your site has been down, as you may not have seen the downtime yourself.

That's very nice. It will be very valuable when you don't see server downtime and is informed. Thanks for sharing the information. It's really pleasure receiving such information.

Yes. I use siteuptime.com and have done for a few years.

I use their free plan, which is fine for my hobby sites, but they also do paid plans with more frequent polling.

They send an email as soon as you site is noted as down, and then again once it is up. At the end of the month they send a summary, which is useful if you need to go back to your host and ask for a better service, or a discount!
