I read quite a few business books, too many to count. Business books that I've particularly enjoyed include Mark McCormack's "What they Don't Teach you in Harvard Business School" and Duncan Bannatyne's "Anyone can do it" and "Wake up and Change Your Life". I'm also a fan of Seth Godin's books and have read "Purple Cow" and "Tribes".

What business books have you read RestOwner?

Reading business book is a must really & there are so many "bibles" out there such as those already mentioned, Think & Grow Rich, SPIN selling (a must for anyone especially if you don't believe you can sell) and from there the list is probably endless

I've read too many to count. The one I thoroughly recommend is Start with The Answer and Other Wisdom for Aspiring Leaders by Bob Seelert, Chairman of Saatchi & Saatchi. He is a very astute man and this is one book I refer to a lot for guidance when I'm mulling something over. There's no fluff, just good solid guidance from a man that has the real life business success to back up what he says with examples. I have reviewed it and shared an excerpt in the past if anyone's interested in learning more about this book and the man himself.

Thanks for the recommendation Kay, I've just ordered it from Audible. I'll post back with my feedback, when I've had a listen to it.

The most down to earth book I have read in the past year is "Get of your arse" by Brad Burton. A book about small business from someone that has been there and done it and is now helping others do the same thing. It is a really good read and written in English not business speak.

What do you mean by "how to read ebooks"?
And yes, e-book readers are necessary. Why? Because whithout these softwares, you can read ebooks. One example is Adobe Acrobot for opening PDF files, in which a common format for ebooks.

michman, GekiDan is correct you do need some kind of software or PC to read an eBook. However, you don't necessarily need an ereader such as a Kindle, Sony Reader or Apple iPad to read ebooks. You can read most of them on your PC or laptop.

What kind of advertising do you want to do? Is there anything in particular that you would like help with, e.g. media buying, ad design or copy-writing? Ogilvy on Advertising by David Ogilvy is one of the more famous books on advertising.

Wow.. so many books, so little time!!

    1. The Billionaire - The story of Sir James Goldsmith
    2. Losing my Virginity - Branson
    3. Al Fayad - Unofficial Biography by Ivan Fallon
    4. Yamani - Story of Shiekh Yamani - the guy who basically made Saudi Arabia
    5. Barbarians at the Gate - The story of the hostile takeover of RJR Nabisco - the biggest deal in history at the time
    6. Unlimited Power - Anthony Robbins - awesome - changed my life
    7. Giant Steps - Anthony Robbins - doubly awesome

I have probably read all of these 10 times. Each one is a lesson. If you are just starting out get Unlimited Power. I read it when I was broke.. 18 months years later I was driving a Ferrari 355 Spyder... nuff said!

Thanks for the recommendation, I've just purchased it from Audible. There's a couple of books on my list before I get to it, but I will definitely give it a good listen. If I make as much success from it as you have, I'll buy you a couple of fluffy dice for the Ferrari :)
