Do you make money with free blogs? By free blogs I mean blogs hosted by wordpress.com and blogspot.com. I had one blog that was hosted on blogspot.com and I made a hundred dollars a day. Google saw that and eventually banned that site from AdSense.

Anyone else make or made money from free blogs? If so where is it hosted?

Do you know why they banned it?

I don't have any free blogs myself.

I went from making pennies a day to making a hundred bucks a day, they thought it was suspicious and I was too lazy to appeal.

I have one - not making any money from it yet - but plans to. But that's the time it won't be a free blog at all. Before free blogs, I guess, were allowed to earn revenue through adsense. But probably G saw that it was abused and removed it. What was your blog all about anyway?

That's too bad. Though your making money out of it, it might worth a shot.

I have few of them, not making much from them, about $100 per month in total. So, I just leave them alone

What's your site about? What are their reasons for banning your site?

Jerlene, you should have appealed right away. Probably Google had mistakenly banned or removed your website - but the good thing if you could have appealed right away is that G does allow websites for re-consideration. In that way, people or website owners who think their website was mistakenly hit or banned by Google can appeal to them and look for possible considerations.

Generally Google will not tell the answer, because they have too many advertiser work for them.

    -
    possible reason:
    1. if the number of impression and visitor are little, but click through rate on ads is high, it could be high risk.
    2. A site grow too fast with abnormal traffic in a short period, it increase too much of backlink and referral traffic.

Why were you banned from AdSense? Are all your sites banned from using AdSense, or is your entire account disabled?

They told me the reason when they disabled by Adsense account a year back. It was due to Mature and copyrighted content.
I removed them and they reinstated my account after a week.
