Difference between PPC & SEO?

    I know this might be a little elementary, but what is the main difference between SEO and PPC? Do you consider PPC to be part of SEO?

    These are completely opposite to each other in each and every aspect. some of the key differences are:
    ppc is paid and seo is free
    ppc ranking can be achieved instantly, but SEO ranking takes time.

    The answer to your second question is simple - "No". There has been some talk that Google gives preference in the organic listings to those who buy PPC ads, but I'd like to see verifiable proof, if anyone can find it.
    As far as your first question, singhabhishek251is correct, they are two different website marketing techniques.
    PPC, also called Pay-Per-Click, is exactly what it sounds like. When you establish an account with a search engine, your ad is published on the search engine results pages, or SERPs, and is clearly marked as an ad. Whenever a searcher clicks on your ad, you pay a fee to the search engine. Although submitting an ad it is not a very difficult task, high PPC rankings cannot be "achieved instantly" as singhabhishek251 put it. Yes your ad will be displayed, but whether or not you achieve high rankings depends on how much you are willing to pay per click for your keywords, the quality of your ad, and other ranking factors, just as in SEO. You will also get, on average, only 15% of the searchers for each keyword.
    SEO is more involved, and, as singhabhishek251 pointed out, the search engines do not charge for listing your website. SEO is used to get a website ranked as high as possible in the organic listings, the main listings on each of the SERPs for a keyword. This is where 85% of searchers look to find a website that has what they are looking for. Because the ranking factors for the organic listings pertain to a website, and not an ad, the process to get a high ranking is much more difficult. You have to make sure there are no mistakes anywhere on your website that would cause the search engines to give your site a low ranking. The popularity of your site, indicated by the number and variety of websites providing links to it, is also a consideration. There are several other factors involved, some of which are more important than others.

    PPC and SEO both are well known internet marketing techniques. PPC is a paid advertising internet marketing where SEO is a free submission for internet marketing. PPC stands for pay per click, where advertiser has to pay a decided amount when viewer clicks on advertisement. It is an immediate way to get traffic however, it is not affordable for all website owners. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization where we have to promote website in search engine through free listing means natural way, which is affordable for all business but it is a time taking procedure. PPC is not a part of SEO.
