How Http and Https pages differ from each other? From SEO point of view, what is important to have a website with Http or Https?

HTTP and HTTPS both protocol used for networking. Https is a combination of two different protocols, which is http and ssl/tls protocol. It is the more secure way to send the request to the server. No one can see your information. Google has consider "HTTPS" as a search engine ranking factor so it will be good for your website.

"Https:" is used for security purposes, so no one can see personal information entered, such as home address or credit card numbers. Unless there is a business-related reason to switch to an "https" protocol, doing so will not have an appreciable effect on your rankings. As with any other ranking factor, if you have no other reason to use it other than to increase your ranking, don't bother doing it.

Great key points @joeroxx, regarding of what you have said, yes, it has nothing to do with getting ranked, because I have read somewhere that those websites with "https" are likely to rank easier than those that are not.. It's a NO, NO - no ranks for you, it still depends on your strategy and your purpose.

If HTTPS is more secure, so why isn’t the web using It?

The web is using it, or at least many of those who need to are using it. When you make a purchase from a well-known retail site, such as Amazon or the website for a major department store, you will notice the "checkout" page uses "https" to keep your personal information and credit card information secure. Although Google has decided to use "https" as a ranking factor, it is a minor one. Most websites like blogs, forums and others that do not require personal or credit card information don't need to be as secure as retail or "e-commerce" sites would, so there is really no compelling reason to use it.
