Static generally refers to a site built using HTML/CSS where the content doesn't change. Sometimes called a brochure site

Dynamic generally refers to a site built around a database where the content changes over time. for example:a forum, blog or ecommerce site.

In simple, static Web pages content that cannot change without a developer editing its source code, that means web pages display same information whenever any user visit it.
While dynamic Web pages display different content from the same source code based on what operating system or browser the visitor is use.

Well , to put it simple and easy , static web pages remain the same on pc , tablet or android .
Whereas a dynamic web page has different view on each device .
Like it will have a little different display on pc and on tablet and on android.

Static Web pages display the exact same information whenever anyone visits it.
A dynamic web page can display different content based on what operating system or browser the visitor is using, whether she is using a PC or a mobile device, or even the source that referred the visitor.

That's a function of the CSS. You can do this with a static site.

The normal definition of a dynamic site is one where the pages are created from a database - they don't exist until the moment of delivery to a browser.

A static site is one where the webpages are stored as HTML files. They can still have reusable content (such as a navigation bar) but only within a fixed or static HTML structure (hence the name).

Static websites looks basic and is for a smaller company, and simply delivers information without any bells and whistles. It can only really be updated by someone with a knowledge of website development also cheapest to develop and host, and many smaller companies still use these to get a web presence.

Dynamic sites on the other hand can be more expensive to develop initially, but the advantages are numerous. At a basic level, a dynamic website can give the website owner the ability to simply update and add new content to the site.

Many sites from the last decade are static, but more and more people are realising the advantages of having a dynamic website.

A static website doesn't change. It's usually just a bunch of HTML, CSS, and possibly javascript or client side files that are served by a simple web server.

A dynamic website has a backend written in a language like PHP, Python, Node.js, etc. These sites can take user input and change their content based on databases, external APIs, etc.

Static Website looks basic and is for a smaller company, and simply delivers information without any bells and whistles, it could be a static website.
Static websites can only really be updated by someone with a knowledge of website development. Static websites are the cheapest to develop and host.

Advantage :Quick to develop, Cheap to develop, Cheap to host.

Disadvantage : Requires web development expertise to update site, Site not as useful for the user, Content can get stagnant

Dynamic website can give the website owner the ability to simply update and add new content to the site. Some examples of dynamic website features could be: content management system, e-commerce system, bulletin / discussion boards, intranet or extranet facilities, ability for clients
or users to upload documents, ability for administrators or users to create content or add information to a site (dynamic publishing).

Advantage : Much more functional website, Much easier to update, New content brings people back to the site and helps in the search engines
,Can work as a system to allow staff or users to collaborate

Disadvantage : Slower / more expensive to develop, Hosting costs a little more.
