Creating a site map will give google indication of
    a) crawling all pages on site
    b) look at the importance and frequency of change as suggested by webmaster
    c) helps search engines to deep crawl a page - which otherwise can be left out

There are some things you can do to help the search engines find all of your pages. These techniques will also help the people who visit your site to find the pages and move through your website with ease.

Search engine site map, which is a file stored in the public folder of website that helps search engine index better for your website. For example:- Google, Yahoo, MSN major search engines support site map protocol. which is an XML based description of the url each pages on the site.

There is no benefit if Google don't want to crawl your web pages due to content quality issues.. otherwise having sitemaps help to get indexed fast (NOT A BIG DEAL FOR RANKING)
