Anyone think making a press release on a site like prweb with the write keywords and content can be can be an seo boost right there?

I'm considering working with an seo company for a month to get overall seo help but also thinking about a press release maybe hiring a ghost write to write one and submitting it to prweb or something. It is possible too that some seo companies might handle that end too on the other side.

Anyone see boosts from press releases before for new sites, etc.?

    Thanks

    James

One of the mistakes people make is to hire an SEO firm, and then do their own thing, without knowing how it will effect their rankings. Then, when the rankings drop, they blame the SEO firm. If you hired the right company, they should be able to do this for you, as part of their linking campaign or as a separate item. They will know how to write the press release for maximum effectiveness. They would also communicate with you on a regular basis
If you're considering hiring an SEO firm, be prepared to commit for more than a month, and stay with them long term, but DO NOT hire a firm that will tie you down to a long term contract. Although SEO does take time to see substantial results, you should see upward movement within the first three months. If not, you'll want to be able to stop working with them, and hire someone else.

Press release will help depending on the press release site. PRWeb is one of the best ones. However, submitting a press release requires you to pay. And the rate is quite high. And yes, based on my experience press release can be a good choice for new websites or new products. Of course it will also depend on the quality of the content. If it is done well, good product/services and brand exposure are the main benefits. Natural link backs are also possible.

For this, I suggest you hire a professional writer who can do the job for you. For new websites it is important to create a huge buzz first. You can hire an seo company. But make sure that they have the capacity or ability to make a good exposure to your site.

I agree with you Marrick.. PRWEB is one of the best press release sites, but submitting on this site need us to pay.
But for me paying them to submit your press release is worth it.

to get traffic to your website you need to promote fresh unique and relevant content containing keywords linked to your website using various press release sites. this will boost your keywords and also bring traffic. along with it, it will also generate quality back links too.

A press release is essentially a communicative tool that lets users know about your company and website. While press releases communicate with users, they also communicate with search engines. This means that they should be written for SEO, as they will help the site to be optimized, viewed and ranked by search engines. Once we submit press release to the most perfect niche and all the information it provides is legitimate we might end up getting a quality backlink. This process helps in enlightening people about the brand; it helps in building a reputation about the brand among the masses. Once a targeted consumer knows about the brand it helps bringing traffic to the provider. If we have achieved perfect consumer's visibility it brings itself huge traffic.

Most press release links from major sites are nofollow links right now so will have a pretty minimal impact on your SEO other than helping you manipulate link velocity or anchor ratios/manual trust if you are doing something shady.

If you want a pro-tip on how to abuse co-citations in PR keep reading...

    1) Keep everything as you normally would with the Press Release (branded anchor links, no KW stuffing, etc)
    2) Link out to as authoritative a website you can find within your niche that is very relevant to your business but is not a direct competitor (linking to a direct competitor from your PR does not usually look to hot under a manual review)
    3) ???
    4) Enjoy Google co-citing your domain link as very contextual to the topics covered on that extremely high authority site that you linked out to.

Press release submission is one method of delivering news of events taking place within your company. It is written to rank well in search engines for your keywords. Press release websites are generally highly ranked and indexed by Google very quickly.

You've managed to give us both a reason why to use press releases, and why not to. Press releases are not, or should not be, "written to rank well in search engines". They are written to alert the public to newsworthy events, and can include links to a website. Press releases should never be written primarily to obtain links!

Press releases are still fine - as long as you don't float away from it's original purpose. Do PR when you have a new product to offer - or when you have some major improvements with your offers or products, or partnerships, etc.

Notable results usually come from paid and authoritative PR sites like for example the one you mentioned - PRweb.

Just make sure that you are not just advertising through PR or trying to insert your keywords on the PR to gain from it organically but make sure you do it for the purpose of content marketing.

    Regards,
    Mark
