Changes to regulations from October 2009 (- UK)

Find details of changes at the business link page here

Changes include things like the change in the minimum wage, the place where you can keep your company records, directors addresses and more.

If you are a UK registered company and haven't been advised by your accountant you'd better read to make sure you are comfortable with everything.

If anyone has a UK business I would advise registering with business link, use the link in the first post. You will then be able to sign up to receive some updates.

Alternatively, keep an eye on the companies house website, here, as this has updates to company rules and regulations. The links section at CH is also very good and covers a lot of important sites with good information, including many of the worldwide directories.

Sites such as PwC (this in the UK site) also give a lot of free updates on business and VAT rule changes and should be looked at from time to time. PwC do a newsletter that covers business changes, the July version is here. It contains a short article relating to accounting changes to IFRS for small and medium size entities. If you have not already done so, it is worth taking 5 minutes out of your day to find out if your business will be impacted by the changes or if your accountant is up to speed on the proposed changes.
