Lets say I started a business called "CompanyX LLC" in the state of Michigan.

Now I understand if I want to do business as "CompanyX Media" and put "CompanyX Media" on business card and what not, I would need to fill out a Certificate of Assumed Name for "CompanyX Media"

But what about just using "CompanyX" on business cards? Do I need to fill out a Certificate of Assumed Name for "CompanyX" if I didn't want to apply the LLC after it?

    Thank you.
