Every business needs a proper business plan and any business plan can be either good or bad. If you want to create that difference in the business plan that you make, you first need to understand what a business plan is all about.

A business plan needs to mention the following:

    1. The nature of the business and its identity.
    2. The business objectives and the purpose of the existence of your business have to be mentioned.
    3. You need to mention the products that you sell or the services you offer.
    4. Mention your marketing strategies.
    5. Also do mention the goals which you plan to achieve.
    6. The market niche which you need to conquer.
    7. Mention your plans for the future of your business.
    8. The most important of all, do mention your financial standing before you start.

The above mentioned are those factors which are to be for sure mentioned in a business plan and this acts like a blueprint of your business. This business plan will help you analyze where the business stands and its importance.

A business plan can be said to be a road map that will help to choose a path that leads to the goals which has been set. At times if things go according to the plan and the market is also favourable then the business plan will bring success. Gone are the days when a business plan used to be a large bunch of documents says around 40 to 50 pages. But in modern times the business plan document is trimmed and is easy to comprehend is better. What kind of business and how competitive is the business niche will decide the pricing strategy for the business.

There is no good or bad plan, it's just that what might work and what might not. There have been times where the plans which have been branded as "bad" have turned out to be one of the best solutions for the unwanted situations that arise. Business runs on uncertainty and what one can get closest to is the predictability. There have been examples of the mammoth businesses failing and even the tiniest startups soaring.

You should always keep in mind the manpower and the machine ratio that you would require for your business. Along with the clear idea of the partners and the employees, the roles of people and the cost to the business can be sketched in the plan.
