    Guidelines

    Thank you for your participation at Business Advice Forum, we greatly value it and know that without our members we wouldn't have a forum. In order to maintain the forum for the benefit of everyone we ask that you note the following;

    1. Please ensure that your posts are helpful and on topic. The vast majority of your posts should either ask or answer a question.
    2. Poor quality posts that are used to promote your signature link and/or run up your post count are not allowed.
    3. Short posts such as "Great post" & "Thanks for sharing" do not help the community. If you wish to thank another member please make the effort to say why you are thanking them & how their post was useful to you.
    4. When posting to say you like something or to tell us who / what your favourite is, please tell us why. E.g. if you post to tell us that Google is your favourite search engine or that businesses mostly fail due to lack of funding please tell us why.
    5. When replying to a thread please give your opinion or add something new to the discussion, there is little to be gained from simply repeating what has already been said in the thread.
    6. Please be polite to other members at all times.
    7. When a member asks a question, please don't reply suggesting that they search on Google or post a link to a website, unless you have something else helpful to add to the discussion.
    8. Old threads, please avoid bumping threads that have not been active for more than two months, unless you have something really important to add to the discussion.
    9. This is an English language forum - only English language text is allowed.
    10. Articles and tutorials may only be posted in our Articles & Tutorials forum section.
    11. Please do not copy and paste articles, portions of articles or posts from other sites, if you want to discuss an article, describe it in your own words and provide a link to it.
    12. Advertising is allowed in your signature and the Free Advertising Forums. Advertising is not allowed in other areas of the forum.
    13. Discussion of and links to the following types of content are prohibited: Paid to Click (PTC), Paid to View, Paid to Read (PTR), prescription drugs, gambling, casinos or anything of an illegal nature.
    14. This is a family friendly community. Links to sites that are adult or offensive in nature are prohibited, as are personal attacks or libellous statements.
    15. Please report any post that does not comply with our guidelines (you will see the triangle report button underneath the member's username and avatar, to the bottom left of their post).
    16. In most instances each individual is allowed only one account on Business Advice Forum. Duplicate accounts are only permitted with the express approval of the Forum Admin.
    17. Any and all information (including personal information) shared by you on Business Advice Forum is your sole responsibility and BAF will not be held in any way responsible for it.
    18. These rules are subject to change, with or without notice.
    19. Please read our thread on Staying Safe Online - For Children, Teenagers and Adults Too!.
    20. Please read the disclaimer below.
Members who make short unhelpful posts will be sent a friendly reminder PM. Members who continue to do it will be given an infraction. Two infractions and the member's signature will no longer display on the forums. Three infractions and the member account will be banned. Thanks for your participation and enjoy your time on our business forum.

Privacy Policy - Business Advice Forum

Business Advice Forum's Commitment To Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

    The Information We Collect:
This notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the Business Advice Forum website.

We request that you provide a user-name and email address on our registration page. The user-name you provide is a name of your choosing and does not need to include any identifiable information. We require a valid email address for verification, as part of our methods to prevent forum spam.

    The Way We Use Information:
We use the registration information you provide about yourself only to complete your registration. We do not share this information with outside parties.

We use email addresses to answer the email we receive and to send you Admin emails, related to your Business Advice Forum membership. These emails are infrequent and you should expect less than 15 such emails per year. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.

We may use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website and to share with advertisers. For example, we may tell an advertiser that X number of individuals visited a certain area on our website, but we would not disclose anything that could be used to identify those individuals.

Finally, we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us online in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated uses.

    Our Commitment To Data Security
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

    Our Commitment To Children's Privacy
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at our website from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
You can access and amend all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain by logging in to Business Advice Forum and visiting the User CP. We use this procedure to better safeguard your information.

You can also correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information by sending us a request that credibly shows error.

To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.

    Google Cookies
We may publish Google ads at some time on Business Advice Forum. Google, as a third party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on publisher sites. Google's use of the DART cookie enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to publisher sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the Google ad and content network privacy policy.
