What do you think is the best place for ads on a site to get some money and keep the style looking nice. I think it would be the top right right by the header and the bottom at the footer. Those seem to be the best places that I have discovered.

Top right at the header is still the best
And center under the header also another good place

I suggest the main is top right header and below menu and right scroll bar since many of them use to look at this places. Also as you suggested at the footer but since this all depends upon your site and readers.try different places to test them

I have tried both of the spots I said I thought good and tested them :) The top right did the best by a lot and the bottom did the second best. All the others I tried failed miserably and barley got anything. I have thought about below the menu but never did it. I will maybe try it out on this new project I am working on :)

Obviously where you get the most impressions. You can figure that out by using Google Analytics which takes note of where users have clicked on your site, eg. it usually is near the navigation bar or even login boxes for some sites such as eCommerce sites.

Regardless where you place it though, you would definitely want to make sure your ads are intruding on the visitor's experience because you need those visitors to gain money.

I would say top right of header but make sure it doesn't flash. Maybe ok for the image to change slightly. I personally avoid sites that flash at me I find them incredibly irritating.

top header is great but expensive, right or left side is ok too, not as expensive as the top header.

It's a pity, but such attractive places are not so cheep as I expected. It's rather expensive in deed, but for the people who look for the adds professionally the place doesn't matter.
