Honestly, there is no best forum script. All the scripts you mention have their own strengths and weaknesses. It's also worth mentioning that there are very successful forums built on each of the forum scripts you mention - the software you use will not be the main factor in determining whether your forum will be successful or not.

This forum topic shows the views and opinions of lots of forum owners, as to what the best forum software is - Best Forum Software: Your Opinions & Views.

Like Fergal had said, there's no "best" forum script.
All things have its strength and weaknesses and that includes forum scripts.
When you say "best", the answers you will get will be based on the opinions of people who are using these scripts. Most of the time, you'll receive biased answers based on the on the script that they are currently using.

I not sure about the script but i get some information from the forum owner, they highly recommend VB but the cost is high compare to others. Then second will go to PhPbb which is SEO friendly

i however would definitely want a software that is SEO friendly than the others. take a look some of reviews to these forum scripts. or more sophisticated such as SMF - lots of plugins, lots of mods. :D

Why do you like it? Have you used it for a forum of your own?

Are you talking about the "best" for the user or for the admin? I've seen that the vBulletin and phpBB ACP's appear to have 'to the point' ACPs which appear simple to use. For the user, it would depend on the community, so the the primal choice is which script you feel works best for your capabilities.

Are you referring to SimpleMachines or one of the other forum software products with "Simple" in the name?

webtechnocratz why do you keep posting this same question? Have you looked at the answers you received when you posted the question before?

I would say VB is good, as it user friendly and and also having lost of supports.

We use vB also. For the most part it has been very good, however we are very new to the technical side of things and this has proved a challenge. I feel vBulletin could have been more helpful in some ways, but like I say for the most part, we are happy.

I was also very weak on technical side, but honestly I find lots of support (lots of material available on net and also their official websites).
