Motivation is important, especially for the leader of the business, and if you own or handle the business, it means it is you. No one else will be motivated on your behalf, and if they ever do, it does not mean they will continue, they just do it to support the business further. So it is important to keep it and for leaders, to communicate it to as much employees as possible so they're motivated to do the work correctly and efficiently. Downsides of lack of motivations? The employees may not care to produce bad quality goods/content/service/whatever, they might let things decay without any problem, and make your wage a pure waste. So, how to keep the motivation for years needed to run the business? What fuels you the most?
