Banner's effectivity

    I tried to add a banner containing a webhosting ad which promotes their promo. Has anyone ever successfully made a sale just by adding a banner on the site?

    I can see BAF has one.

    Did you make a banner for HostGator's affiliate program, or something else?

    Banners would really be of a huge help. It is another way of advertising your website through images or infographic materials. Sometime you may even add some CTA's on your banner for it to become an effective strategy.

    See when you have business n you want to try to promote. You also don't know what is good for me or bad for me. you don't want to take any chance for it.. So like that only. Banners also helps you a lot.. We don't have patient. We have to wait for it. But it's going really help you.. Because you can used your banners in graphics style, image you can used... Don't worry it;s really worth for you....

    Well most customers get attracted to images rather than links. It is useful if your banner is on the top most part (although there is kind of confusion on Google's update).

    I have made a few sales on HostGator's affiliate program, via the banner here on BAF. I'm not sure exactly how many sales were made with it, but it is definitely less than five, so it's actually not a productive or profitable ad.

    I'm agree with that geek, I'm also a blogger myself but by putting affiliate ads I am not able to earn but by putting their articles their discounts codes in my blog post I start getting sales and money :p

    Your company's banner if your basic requirement. It represents your company's reputation. Creative and sophisticated banner & logo are required to represent your brand.
