Windows updates were scheduled to run automatically for my PC everyday. I've changed the setting for these automatic updates so that they now only run once per week.

Do you think that's enough or does it expose my PC to some risk?

It kinds of depends on what day of the week it checks as to how much of an extra risk it is. Usually updates become available on a Tuesday so if it only checks for updates on a Monday, you will have to wait 6 days to get the update for example. Updates don't always fall on a Tuesday though and there was an update released on Sunday (i think). Checking for updates once a week does expose you to some extra risk although it is really it is not too big of a deal.

I'd go back to daily if I were you. It's just not worth the risk these days with so many new viruses coming out.

Thanks for the replies, I had set them to update on a Sunday as that's the day I use the PC least. Will think about that.

    Anyone else?
