If I’m selling things online (digital products and physical products), and someone in another state buys something from me, am I "officially" doing business outside of my state, as far as the IRS is concerned? Or are all online sales considered doing business in my state, regardless of where products are shipped / purchased from? (and same question also as far as international orders)

    Thanks

You are operating your business from your state but you are doing business in your full country if you are doing shipment inside your company and if you are doing it worldwide then you are doing it worldwide, only the operation is being handled in your own state.

Yup that is exactly right. I operate a business which provides services to customers across the country. The business services are all transacted in my home state; therefore, I only need a business license in my home state.
