    1. Have a plan and know exactly how much it does cost
    2. Learn to delegate and choose good people.Look around and think: "who can do better than i can?" then trust and support them.
    3. Determination is more important than education.Having a degree is not an essential part of being successful as an entrepreneur
    4. Know your core values.Core values are what make you successful in the first place
    5. Don't sell your company too quickly, retain ownership if you still can.

    Thanks for sharing its a useful tips, Starting and running a successful business can be rewarding and challenging. Success requires focus, discipline and perseverance.     One more tip that I think most of the replies are missing is to have a proper time management. Exclusively managing the things and keeping those streamlined with a time frame everywhere brings it to the most stipulated instance of running the business in a innovative fashion.

    1.According to me a good businessman should have these qualities
    2.A long running business model, upon which you can build your and customer's faith
    3.A very honest accountancy of expenditure and earning
    4.Value friendship, this aspect is really required these days to promote, be friend rather than being a salesman.
    5.Forgiveness.
    6.Believe in creating value over time and work, not just over work.
    7.Focused attention, multitasking is poison these days.
    I think breached the limit of 5, please don't mind.

    One of the most important things in business is a good and reliable lawyer, I guess. There are some really great companies like linkagemind.com which specialise in businesses, and will help a lot with different issues. Do you guys use such a help too?

    Thanks for sharing your tips to successful business, but in my opinion, there is no exact formula for a successful business. Success defends on the timing and luck.

    My only advice for an entrepreneur especially to those newbies in the business is to have an ample capital when starting up. Ample capital means an additional 50% over your estimated capital requirements. One pitfall of new businesses is to fall into the trap of borrowing money to augment their budget for the operating expenses. Borrowing money would incur unnecessary expenses in interest. Be careful of that trap.

    You must know about the market of that business you going to start.

    Make a plan on how you can reach related people, does local or online marketing will help.

    For me, running a business is about product differentiation. If there is no product differentiation to begin with, then its about who can reach more clients.

    From my point of view, besides your strategy, it depends on your amount of money, size of company, time and luck ;)

    As a professional who deals in the B2B space I believe that

    Proper budgeting and understanding the cash flow of your business is the most important aspect to growing a business.

    The ability to separate tasks into more important and less important and tackle the more important first.

    Knowing what your next step is at any given time

    Being able to change your mind about what the next step needs to be at any given time.

    Knowing what the outcome will be before trying to fix things.
