I've just tried some of them in Yahoo GekiDan and they do appear to work. Probably best to double check the ones you are interested in however, because I didn't go through the full 20 in the list.

Yahoo and Google have different search algorithms.
Here's a site that I recently saw that makes a search comparison on Yahoo and Google: http://www.seochat.com/seo-tools/google-vs-yahoo/

This is another cool tip to enhance searching as it really takes a lot of time finding for concepts page by page and getting some of these specific methods will make every single search that easy. However, I've been using the + sign to define my second keyword better through my searches just like when I search for blogs talking about business, I might type in Business + Blogs :)

The + symbol can definitely be helpful when you want particular words included in your search TmasterMind. I also find the - sign helpful when you want to exclude a specific word or words. For example if search for the country "Ireland" I might include "-Kathy" to exclude results for "Kathy Ireland".

Or use Quotation Marks (") to look for exact matches. Words inside the quotation mark will give you results that have those words within one sentence.
