Ernest Hemingway in "The Old Man and The Sea".

This obviously isn't directly business related but I'm a big fan of Hemingway. Personally I find this quote inspiring, in terms of looking forward and making the best of what you've got. Lamenting what you haven't got is a waste of time and energy and distracts you from making the best of the resources and abilities available to you.

I like that. In the past, I sometimes put something off for a long time because I thought I couldn't do it, only to surprise myself at how well I could do it, once I actually tried. It is amazing what you can do when you really have to do it. Your quote reminds me of;

I have two favorites. My first is from Dale Carnegie:

When fate hands you a lemon, make lemonade.

The second is a great one to use when someone asks you about your experience in a business. It came from a colleague when I used to sell real estate:

I've been in this business long enough to know that if I'm in the business for another 20 years, I'll still have something to learn.

It works great for doing business on the web!

I just got another favorite. I'm an LOL cats lover and this is sort of a "paraphrase".
