Thats a good idea. I wouldnt say restrict internet access but I would say limit the use as much as possible. Overall give the employees good incentives make them feel comfortable & productivity/morale in the workplace should begin to rise.
It's the little things that matter. __________________ TheRACK - http://www.RackShack.org - 1 Package Fits all Advanox Online Branding - http://www.Advanox.com Web Design, Marketing, Advertising & Branding for Any Budget! 72hour turnarounds! |

On the limit access note an Australian company has created a product that allows bosses to limit social internet time to certain within limits they set.
Most bosses don't mind people doing personal stuff as long as it is respected as a privilege and the employees are productive - so they made new software. When I dig out the article I'll make a new thread about it. |

Hey Tonny,
Have you tried using time tracker device? Tempo is a web based time tracker that can maximize the efficiency of your business. Employees enter how they spent their time, and with this data, you as the business owner can generate reports, charts and graphs to spot patterns, compare performance and analyze your team. I can't post links yet, but if you are interested in checking it out, visit w w w. keeptempo .com |

I haven't used neither Cyclop nor time-tracing Tempo. And you? What about the demo and stability of the softs? Do you like it?

trial version
Hi Tonny,
I really like Tempo. I've been using it for over a year now. There's a free version and 30 day trials for all other packages if you want to give it a shot before committing |

Well I think you must set targets in your business and if anyone fails to achieve the target he/she should be fined . On the other hand if someone achieves more than the targets he/she should be rewarded.

There could be different reasons for the failure: lack of time or the person tried to find more creative solution. So the punishment won't work, it only kills the enthusiasm. To reward person it's good, but it shouldn't be like sugar for the horse in the circus. If he does everything all right he receives two pieces of sugar, for example. There should be some corporate philosophy when everything and everyone works for the same goal. And the chief has the possibility for impartial and objective assessment of the employees achievements.

Make them send you a daily productivity in which the number of hours is included and to verify this, you can watch them while they perform. And yes, rewards will be great. Often than not, they are employees motivating factor or driving force to work doubly hard.
