It seems counterproductive. I started the day with 600, made one post and now I'm down to 547 (not including whatever may be deducted for this one).

Same just happened to me.
It might be an issue when posting in one specific section of the forum. I have made a couple of posts today and both times my cash has increased. I had 3214 prior to posting this so I will see how mine changes
EDIT: Mine has increased for this post.
Kathleen,
Did you by any chance edit any of your replies?
BAF Cash decreases when you edit a post, so if you have, there is your answer.
kathleen f. your BAF Cash should increase when you make posts. If you do see a decrease again, please let me know the specific post you made that caused the decrease and how much your BAF Cash decreased by.

Good thing I saw this thread then. I was wondering why my BAF Cash went up and down. In general, I often edit my posts on forums. Sometimes I want to make something more clear, add something, or sometimes its just because I might have a problem with my grammar. English is not my first language.
I feel that I am being slightly punished due to the way I like writing on forums. But I guess that there must be some good reasons on why you choose having it this way.
Dawey you shouldn't actually lose BAF Cash by editing a post. What happens is, you receive BAF Cash a second time when you edit a post, i.e. you receive BAF Cash twice for the same post. Then the system removes the excess credits, so that you are in effect only credited once for each post. Honestly, I'm not sure why the system does it that way, but you are not penalised for editing a post.
