Age of domain does not matter to improve your page rank. Google page rank is only bases on quality of backlinks. Number of quality backlinks helps to increase your pagerank. Pagerank does not quite improve your traffic. High Pagerank increase your website ranking and good ranking generate traffic on your site.

Not always a good idea. Sometime the more concise number of keyword/s or even meta keyword tags you have, the better. Probably using around 10 keywords on your homepage or main page is good, and around 3 to 5 keywords on your internal pages will do. Just make sure that the keywords you put in those pages are researched well and not just keywords that comes out of your mind.

PR actually is nothing about quality of the backlink but dofollow backlink. Your PR will not increase although you have tons of quality backlink but all of them are nofollow

Only one of those can help you increase PageRank, which is link building.

It depends on the circumstances. When you're a new website and it's getting branded like Facebook and Twitter did in their campaigns then you've might be given a PR in a 2 or 3 months or so. Although there are some rumors floating around that having an aged-domain has a plus points in SEO. Which I think is also dependent on a million reasons like is your website's content useful to your visitors? Do you provide them with high quality-relevant-unique-and-fresh content? and other stuff like that.

It all depends on your marketing strategy and of course your budget.

That is if the update came 3 months or so after they get the domain. Other than that, I don't think they get PageRank after a certain time without Google doing a PR update.
