What's a fair ad rate for a PR3?
Can anyone tell me how to establish that? I've never looked for advertisers before for The Cuckleburr Times and want them to be relevant to my site's subject matter (online magazine about writing/publishing). Ideas on where to start are welcome.

Hi you can look for advertisers in forums / free classifieds/ by placing paid ads (PPC) and many more tools .
A fair rate would be around USD 50 a month for a place on your site.

There are other more important aspects than the PR of your website. For example, the number of unique visitors your site gets per day and the niche your website is in (e.g. a respected medical site could charge more per ad than a celebrity gossip site).
You might consider adding some Google Adsense ads to your site. You could run them for a month to see how much revenue they generate. Once you know how much revenue each slot can earn per month, you could then offer to sell that slot privately for a little more than what Adsense is paying. If there is good interest in purchasing your ads, you could increase the price over time.
You could offer the ad slots for sale on the various webmaster forums and in the Member Ads section right here on Business Advice Forum.
