Once we have a total of 12,750 posts on our forums I will enter all chosen member names into a draw - it is possible for a member to have more than one entry into this draw.

The first member drawn will win $40

I guessed it is a slight mistake by Fergal due to copy/paste. As the rules goes, there is no exceed to number of members to participate, not members to participate again and more times.

The more entries you have in the draw the better the chance you have of winning. I add helpful members to the draw every day. So you increase your chances of winning - every day that you visit and post.

You made mistake to mention that "A member can participate number of times with his/her helpful thread or post".

Also, your first competition missed to explain "What kind of post would be counted in the poll, and I guess you were putting random?"

Note: Plus, I don't see you adding members everyday, rules are not applied properly or what is thing, Fergal?

It's not random, it is based on helpful posts as I stated in the first post in this thread. I also provided a link to this thread, that outlines what I feel is helpful to Business Advice Forum.

Sorry I should have made that clear. I do add members to the draw every day, but I don't post the list of entries every day. The full list will be posted at the end of the competition. I apply the rules very strictly and the competition is run very fairly.

Well, mistake doesn't mean you were wrong but it should be corrected and reduced to avoid confusion and trouble. Like you limited to 10 members for first competition, but members still continued to post for competition first.

There was no issue with the first competition. The rules always made it clear that;

...Once I have approved entries from ten members, I will start a poll for our members to vote on the most helpful suggestion...

Yes, a couple of members (including you) did make very helpful suggestions after the competition closed, which I greatly appreciated. But you were not in the first ten. It would have been unfair to the first ten members to change the rules and add more than ten entries.

How long will be the list? I mean the total number of members that will be in list.

I honestly don't know how many members will be in the final list. I add between two and five members everyday and the competition will end once we have a total of 12,750 posts on our forums. I don't know for sure when we will reach the post target, because it depends on member activity. But with almost 12,400 posts already, we are getting very close to it.

To date there are 47 entries in the draw for this competition. These entries are from 20 different members, obviously some members have more than one entry.

Yes I do Shawn, thanks for asking. I'd be delighted to give a large prize to a member who helped our forum. If this competition works out as good as I hope it will, I plan on launching a competition for an even bigger prize after it.

What's your own opinion on it?
