I think 50 post is already a good idea. Lowering it to 10-15 post will just make BAF a hotspot for spammers and bots.

In addition, having the feature only available to members with over 50 posts, it's easier to see who's using a false signature on their posts. Once caught, I don't think they go back again.

We have all been to forums where you have to scroll through pages and pages of nonsense to find a post even worth reading, let alone submitting a comment.

IMO there is a strong relationship between the difficulty of signature link posting and the quality and relevance of posts on threads.

It seems it is the way most of the forums are going these days. I agree Fergus and keep up the strong line on spam.

There are two ways to add a link in your signature on BAF:

1. Become a premium member, from only $1.99
2. Send me a PM requesting permission to add a link to your signature, once you have made at least 50 helpful posts on our forums.

As far as I know, there's currently no limit as to number of links or characters you can use.
