How to Get a Link in Your Signature on Business Advice Forum

There are two ways to add a link in your signature on BAF:

1. Make 50 helpful posts on our forums, once you have made 50 posts you should be able to add links to your signature. If for any reason that doesn't work, please Send me a PM.
2. Become a premium member, from only $1.99

I'm pretty close to the 50 now Though aren't business forums all about networking? I always see it as odd when people are on forums just to promote

Thanks Dave, introducing the new signature rules has helped greatly to improve the quality of posts made on the forum and it has reduced the time required to remove annoying spam.

The new forum rule is introduced to minimize spam posts who just make a single post or two, get a signature link and then run away.
This way, it's easy for the mods and admins to differentiate which member do a false sig and the legit ones...

Excellent thing you've done here Fergal, will definitely reduce the amount of spam registrations Business Advice Forum receives and will stop those members signing up just to receive a free signature link on a popular forum, this is a very good idea and I will definitely be requesting a signature link once I have made the required amount of posts on Business Advice Forum.

Grumpy & Yanni, thanks for your support and positive replies. Implementing this has really helped to reduce spam and to improve the quality of posts here on the forum. I'd love to be able to give everyone signature links straight away, but unfortunately allowing that results in more spam posts than we can comfortably find the time to remove.

For as long as you are a member here, provided of course that we don't change the policy again at some time in the future and we have no plans to do that and that no restrictions are put on your account and we have no plans to do that either.

We have all been to forums where you have to scroll through pages and pages of nonsense to find a post even worth reading, let alone submitting a comment.

IMO there is a strong relationship between the difficulty of signature link posting and the quality and relevance of posts on threads.

It seems it is the way most of the forums are going these days. I agree Fergus and keep up the strong line on spam.
