To run a sucessful business you need to know your customer well.Its very diffcult for Companies with large customer database to keep track record of each individual. AG-VIP was first to come up with crm software which in my opinion was a very innovative product.

Deepak can you please tell us a little more about AG-VIP. Do you have a link to them. What types of CRM software do they provide, why are they innovative, etc?

Innovative in the sense because they were the first software firm to highlight this problem of managing huge customer database..Now their are many crm softwares in the market but AG-VIP is always rated best among them..

I actually work with someone who has developed their own CRM software. It is not web based and the nice thing about it is there is only a one time fee with no ongoing monthly fees that similiar products charge.

I think there are many CRM softwares available on the net.
But if someone can give a link to some of them that are available for free download ,then it will be of great help to everyone who wanna try them once!!!!

Did you check on Google for Open Source CRM. The first result on those Google results is http://www.sugarcrm.com/crm/ , I've heard positive things about them before, but I haven't used them myself.
