Ya... you are right.. Instead of spending all the money you have for entertainment or something else its better to save some.. will be useful at your old age.. you don't need to depend others.. The trick is picking properties that will go up in value and unfortunately there are no guarantees. Lots of properties have fallen significantly in value in recent years and left their owners sitting on a pile of negative equity.

It is risky, you still need some flow cash on hand to reduce the risk.

One way to save money is to comparison shop on larger priced items. Find where you can buy it for a cheaper price. I also feel like coupons and promo codes can also help in this area. I too am a fan of splitting up the pay check into different accounts. One for "savings", and one for "spendings". I find that this helps me feel like I have less money to spend on a daily basis.
