It seems to me that Fergal is making his move to make BAF more user friendly and customizable. I noticed that the page is stretched from end to end.
I'm hoping to see the sidebar anytime soon. :D
And hope that these moves could increase our members.

Well spotted GekiDan. The changes include
The Twitter contest banner has been removed from the header and replaced with a Google search box
The custom navigation bar has been replaced with one that is more compatible with the forum theme
Some of the background colours and graphics have been removed
The forum width has been increased.
I do hope that these changes will make the site more user-friendly and appealing to our members.
We had some issues with getting the sidebar to display correctly, but we will get it sorted and install it in the near future.

Fergal, you forgot about the "Similar Thread" widget below each page.

Well spotted GekiDan, actually the reason I didn't mention it is because it took some time for it to display after I added it. I wasn't sure if it was going to work or not and I'm happy to see that it's working now.

And also the ads on the left sidebar. :P

Thanks Shotgun, as mentioned above we are still tweaking the sidebar and haven't got it working 100% correctly yet.

I just saw the sidebar on the homepage. Good work Fergal. :D
And I know it could take some time before it can become site wide.

I don't like the new forum width :(
I like websites that don't fill the whole width of my 22'' 16/9 screen (= you have to move your eyes all the time to read everything on one line.)

Fergal is planning to incorporate a site wide side bar on the left-side as we see now. (I hope it's on the right side).
The whole content area will be narrowed down to the same size as we have before.
It just the update takes time to finish and Fergal and his coding guy (sorry I forgot his name) is still testing on things.
