Pet Hates - What are yours?

One of my pet hates is trying to talk to someone on a mobile phone, with poor reception. I simply have no patience for it and want to hang up, as soon as it becomes difficult to hear or understand the other person.

What are your pet hates?

1.When I call someone and the person is not picking up
2.When am on any form of IM and the person is taking ages to reply

Lots of noise all at once. I hate it when there's a TV on and people talking in the living room while someone's outside mowing the lawn or in the kitchen rattling dishes or whatever. It's enough to make me want to shell out for earplugs. Sometimes I play white noise through my headphones just to deaden it.

And I hear ya on the IM, Azertyle. It's rude and only takes a sec to say "give me a moment please". That I don't mind but sitting around waiting for a reply irks me, especially when I'm busy.

Noise also annoys me sometimes. I can't stand a ticking clock when I'm working or reading, I'd never have a ticking clock in my office or sitting room.

yeah tell me about it..a lot of noise over the phone can really get to your nerves sometimes but if it is a important call what can you do.
