You can trademark logos and slogans, but I do not think you can TM a site, you can copyright your site. Look here for more info if you are in the US -->http://www.uspto.gov/

You can't trademark a website, however you can trademark all the images in your website. You still can copyright your website though. You can try CopySpace service for website copyright: copyscape.com

Look up the UK Patent Office website, it should give you some useful info.

Irish IP (Intellectual Property) law is very similar to UK IP law (note similar so it's not exactly the same). Info on Irish Trade Marks here (http://www.patentsoffice.ie/en/trademark.aspx).

Info on EU Wide Trade Marks (http://www.ohim.eu.int/en/default.htm).

Trademarks and IP are a complex legal area. You should look online to get a basic understanding and to help highlight the areas you need to consider. However, take the info you get online as guideline online. If you are serious about a getting a trade mark you need to consult with a solicitor, don't try to do it yourself.

Two things Fergal.
1. Yes, as much as it pains me to say, legal advice and guidance are a must for trade making and copy writing issues.

2. Add those to the master link lists!!!

Like me, you have too much going on sometimes to notice the obvious. Head up the rump syndrome as it is. The rough part is when that has a better view than anything else you are doing. ;)
