Advice on site sale?

Alright so i decided due to personal reasons, i can't continue running MTS. So ive decided to sell it, ive made a topic on DP for it, and currently have one interested person, but no offers. It's my first site sale im going to make, so i wanna make sure i do it properly :).

Anyways some stats:

What you get:

1 full year (minus around a week or so) of unlimited (bandwidth, disk space, email accounts, subdomains etc. the whole lot) hosting, provided by IPower.

Brand new domain, only created 10 days ago!

The script, which is all automated, so no maintenance at all is required by you, this site has the potential (with a little advertising) to earn alot of $ through PPC engines such as adwords. There are multiple ad spots through the site, such as next to the banner, the loading pages, footer etc.

Ive customized the script a little myself, adding a nice footer (now a great place to sell text links!) and a few curved borders instead of the bulky squares.

The site itself has not made much revenue, ive got around 3 clicks from Bidvertiser totaling to 44 US cents.

For just over a week opening, the site's activity isn't bad at all, with 163 unique already.

With a little bit of advertising you can get this site off the ground and end up making quite abit of money. It's currently got a very good domain name, regarding it's niche and should be more then easy to get into those high spots on google, yahoo etc.

I don't have a BIN now, but obviously due to what you get, BID will be $15, have fun .

Payments can only be made by paypal. Once payment has been recieved you will be given the correct access that you need, cpanel, ftp etc. then it is your responsibility to change the details.


So what do you think i should get for it? With everything provided, practically a brand new domain, less then 2 weeks old, practically a year of hosting, once again only 2 weeks into it and the script itself with some personal customizations.

Id be willing to sell it to anyone on here to, if anyone is interested of course.

Hi Nathan, please feel free to offer your site for sale in our Member Ads & Marketplace (http://www.businessadviceforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=11) forum. A lot of sites are sold based on a multiple of their revenue or based on the revenue the new owner believes they can generate from the site. Anything you can do to help convince a potential buyer that the site can make money, would be good. Alternatively you could keep it for a while and focus on generating revenue from it. Then you could sell it based on the site's revenue history.

The fact that your site is so new will severely limit it's value, unless of course you are very lucky and find someone who was looking for a site like that. There are a huge number of sites available for sale these days, and to sell yours you will need to think about what value the new owner will get from the site.

My recommendation would be to keep it for a while and build up the traffic or revenue. If you really need or want to sell it, be prepared to accept a low offer for it.

Yeah well i can hold on to it for awhile, but they'd be no point as i wouldn't be able to build it due to some issues i need to sort out.

I thought might aswell sell it now with the hosting, domain and script already paid for.

Right now it doesn't have much revenue but in the future im sure someone can easily spice up some.
