How can we improve the Alexa traffic rank of our BAF?

Let us talk about ourselves now... Our Alexa Traffic Rank as of today (15th Sep 2009) is 95,961.

Let us share here now how can we improve our BAF Alexa Traffic Rank.. Let us keep a goal of about 50,000 (temporary goal only and can be improved later) and let us share how to improve it...

My first suggestion:-

1. Write content about BAF in webmasters or blogs so that our website links will get improved in other websites which is a way to improve Alexa ranking.

Any help with improving our Alexa rank would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the current status of alexa rankings.

Hope we have made some good improvements. Especially, page views per user and Time on site are more important. Page views per user will tell you how well an user uses the forum and its thread tools. Time on site indicates how well an user or viewer utilizes the content of the site.

So, hope, by improving some very good information and very useful threads will definitely improve these parameters and hence Alexa rankings can be improved a bit more...!

Of course, loads of active members is the best way to improve the ranking of the site

Great to see that our numbers are going in the right direction. The fact that visitor are spending so much time on the site is reassuring, especially given that we also have a low bounce rate. I'm delighted that visitors are finding something of value here and spending more and more of their time with us.

High bounce rate normally due to non-targeted traffic or low quality content / insufficient content. Normally forum will have high bounce rate compare to website or blog, this can only be improved after get more active member

Like mentioned in the post, we need a lot of webmasters since these people are the ones who use the Alexa toolbar the most ;)

After that it's time to promote the SearchStatus addon for Firefox. It has the toolbar implemented and it's something every webmaster needs. Just wait and see, Yesterdays' rank (http://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/businessadviceforum.com#trafficstats) was at 25K which means it's definitely improving! :D

I think there is a typo, it is 75k, not 25k. Anyway, it is good to see the improvement. Wish to see more quality posts since BAF have more and more active member now
