Nice list, but why did You put communication at the last spot? I think it is very important. The best product is nothing, if You can't communicate it. History has shown, that if Your communication is good but product is bad, You can still sell a little. Don't misunderstand me. I'm not promoting bad products in favor of good communication.
By the way, "Think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill is a good primer on this topic.

I think I can add on something here. This is also important.
The person must has initiative and never give up after failure. We often see people hung up the white flag after first try and these people are the one we consider a "true" failure.

I agree that successful business people are willing to take risks. Entrepreneurs would not set up their own businesses if they weren't prepared to take risks. I was once surprised to hear a successful businessman say "I hate risk".
But after thinking about it, I realised that I should not have been surprised. There is always risk in starting any business or indeed in expanding a business. However, the successful business person will always make an effort to minimise the risk. They will do a careful analysis of the opportunity before making the decision and them move forward in such a way as to remove as many uncertainties as possible.

Nice list you have there. I'm a bit surprised that nobody mentioned "smart". Education is not necessarily important, but as long as the person has the brain for it, things will sure work out. I think the richest man in the world which is Mr. Gates has already shown it to us all.

You should add "honesty towards the work" and "dedication for the work" as they also as important as other traits.

Dedication is definitely very important. Do you think all successful business people are honest?

I agree with these. Trying new things is always a good idea. Bringing new sections into a business is always healthy. Risks, that is probably the main one you should be able to do. Always have a back up plan.

Higher risks = Higher reward...You have to gamble sometimes in life, and learn from mistakes
