More WP theme places I like:
BlogPerfume WordPress Themes category (http://www.blogperfume.com/category/wordpress-theme/) Mostly free, some premium but good for finding unusual ones you don't see everywhere.
bestWPthemes (http://www.bestwpthemes.com/)- overall a very good site categorized by theme types such as one column, photo, magazine, etc. - a combination of free and premium themes.
WPthemesfree (http://www.wpthemesfree.com/) - All free. I like that you can look under different category types than the norm here like books, portal, food and drink, hosting etc. You can also narrow down the search by selecting numerous options like number of columns, categories and colors within one search. The Theme Labels is handy too if you select the See All option.
mygreencorner themes (http://themes.mygreencorner.com/) - free to use as long as you respect their terms of service, (http://themes.mygreencorner.com/?page_id=2) which in essence means no removing the footer links imho. Also has sorting options.

There are places where the supposedly good WSOs are given away for free, but, I shan't mention them by name.

You might want to add in Business.gov (http://www.business.gov/) to the list. Here's a description from the site.
The Business Gateway to the U.S. Government
Business.gov, the official business link to the U.S. Government, is managed by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) (http://www.sba.gov/?cm_sp=ExternalLink-_-Federal-_-SBA) in a partnership with 21 other federal agencies. This partnership, known as Business Gateway, is a Presidential E-government initiative (http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/egov) that provides a single access point to government services and information to help the nation's businesses with their operations.

Welcome to the Business Advice Forum Sharez.
I think that a list of wholesalers/drop shippers would be a good addition in our online resources. The only problem is that when you google wholesalers or drop shippers, you usually come up with results that mainly consist of free directories and middlemen.
Are these website yours Sharez or do you do business with the wholesalers in your list?

Is there any service in particular that you would recommend, if there is please let us know the website address?
Fergal, here is a list of free autoresponder services:
http://jv-marketers.com/
http://isoregister.com/
http://freefollowup.com/
http://freeautobot.com/
http://www.123response.com/
http://www.royal-responder.com/free/index.html
http://rapidresponsebot.com/freeaccountsignup.html
http://www.realreply.com/freevspro.html
I've used freeautobot and jv-marketers in the past and they work fine. Isoregister offers several marketing tools in addition to the autoresponder service and is recommended by many people.
Most free autoresponders will include ads and offer restricted features but I think that's the "price" you've got to pay when you have no money...

How often in a day to you type the same things on your computer? How much time do you spend every single day on these repetitive tasks?
If you spend only 10 minutes a day, it'll add up to 3,650 minutes a year which equals almost 61 hours!
Did you know there's a tool for Windows users that can reduce that time by 90%?
Download it for free here: http://www.shortkeys.com/lite.htm

It doesn't have any HTML tags to make up a simple webpage that's why it doesn't show up properly.

As regards the micronichefinder tool, I've just tested it and it worked perfectly. Here's how I did it: inserted the information(!), clicked on "create", the website I built opened in a new tab (I'm using Firefox), I then clicked on "File>save page as" and saved it as .html.

HTML is short for Hypertext Markup Language. It provides the tags and codes needed to build a website. You can't have a website if you don't have the HTML codes needed.

What about email marketing software. Icontact and constant contact are expensive to use. If you are interested in getting a solution setup yourself, some hosting co with cpanel come with a mass mailer, with limited functions, OpenEMM is a great open source solution, but very server specific, you can try Interspire Email Marketer (http://www.interspire.com/923.html) its the best solution that I have found for the $$. great options, and easy to setup on just about any server.!

Mon 11th Jan 2010, 16:12
Fergel, Yes, I do use them.
I had a customer requriesting that I setup an email marketing solution for them. no constant contact, or icontact. he wanted his own server, it is his own list that he has for customers he already has for builderdepotshops.com
I looked into the opensource openEMM first. It is very nice, but had issues integrating with a plesk or cpanel backend, so I dropped that and looked into pay solutions. WOW, some get very very expensive. Interspires Email Marketeer (http://www.interspire.com/923-3-3-2.html) was by far the best for the money. As far as email management??! I am not sure what your question is. . if you refer to , once the list is imported, can you edit details, remove. opt them in, remove. etc. of coarse. but it is not a database app or it is not intended to manage a list outside of the marketing softwares framework. you would have to import the list to a database and do your changes a functions there. it would be much easier that way. Interspire (http://www.interspire.com/923-0-3-6.html)does have other products (http://www.interspire.com/923-0-3-6.html)though, that are impressive as well! I am not familiar with them very well though. They have a knowledge base solution, a shopping cart. The email application has been my main focus though.

Would you like to know how long it takes to load a webpage? This program will measure the time for you. Enter the URL to be measured and watch the top of the window.
How does it work?
The stopwatch is a small Javascript that runs on your computer (not the Numion server). It measures the time between the moment your browser starts to load the URL and when the browser signals that it has finished ("Done" in the status bar). The measurement therefore includes fetching and interpreting all HTML (including frames), images, and Javascripts. It does not include content that is handled by plugins. If the page is in the cache then the stopwatch will measure the faster loading time (see tip above). The accuracy is the accuracy of the Javascript timer, on most systems 10 milliseconds.
Try it out here: http://www.numion.com/Stopwatch/
My site loads in just 11 seconds.
BAF loads in just 9 seconds. (http://www.numion.com/Stopwatch/Start.html?Url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.businessadviceforu m.com)

At least I hope it's not accurate.

No need to be sorry GekiDan, they say themselves that they are in beta and not 100% accurate. They may improve after some tweaks.

A brand new free autoresponder service has just been launched by Gary Ambrose. Two marketers I trust have recommended it so I think it is a valid option for members on a tight budget. I will try it myself.

I just checked several high ranking sites I have in seopenalty.com and got the same very high penalty of 10 for each so i tried BAF to check after earlier posts and it got the same 10 high penalty result. Not sure the site has any accuracy or value at this point.

Another free stock image site to add is a fairly new one called RGBStock.com (http://www.rgbstock.com/). I see quite a few familiar handles from stock.xchng there.
It appears that stock.xchng (http://sxc.hu/) has now changed hands and is owned by Getty Images. Perhaps they'll clear the backlog of images pending approval. It was in the thousands last I looked.

Hi Fergal. Mainly any Ad Network websites or any on Content & Article Writing.

TheNova that ad networks that I have most experience of are Google Adsense, Bidvertiser and BuyandSell Ads. The one that I have used by far the most is Google Adsense. Adsense is a great network to start with, because it is so easy to set up the ads on your site and you can learn a lot about how ads perform on your site by analysing the excellent reports that come with Adsense. Once you have used Adsense for some time you could do a comparative test with one of the other networks or with direct ad sales.
At different times, I have purchased content from forum members, but other than that I actually don't have much experience with other content / article sites. Some of our other members would have much more experience of that than me, so it might be worth starting a new thread in our relevant forum section, with your questions.

Fergal, can you add www.trafficrevenue.com on the list of ad networks? I have been using them in the past months.
Although it is paying lower than Adsense, they pay almost instantly via Paypal.

My pleasure TheNova, good luck with it, I think you will find that it gives you good info as to how ads perform on your site.
One thing you can do, is insert the ads on your site, see how much money you earn through Adsense from each ad slot and then offer to sell the ad slots directly, for a little bit more than what they have been earning through Adsense.
You should also be careful to ensure that you comply with the Google AdSense Program Policies (https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=48182).

What I would say about Adsense is be very careful to read the TOS, as I have twice been disabled by Google and I honestly did not break any of the rules IMO.
