Invite Friends Not Working

Hi Fergal,

I just tried the new feature on the BAF, Invite Friends.

I think it is not working I tried to send message to all my followers in Twitter and In Facebook also.

And also send a mail to my friend for checking it.

But the mail links had a problem. When I clicked on the link it took me to a site and showed me that the link is incorrect.

Please rectify the problem.

Thanks for alerting me to that Sahil. This is a brand new feature and I'm delighted that you have already tried it.

Where did you get the broken link error? Was it when you clicked the Gmail button from the image below or was it later on in the invite process?

I tried Invite Manually and sent a test mail to sahil@gr8ecom.com

The mail come was like this:


Test invitation message sent using AdiInvite V 8.0.0. Gold!

Accept Invitation :

Reject Invitation :

Block all future invitations :

When I clicked on the accept link - http://www.projectsplanet.org/forums/verify_invitation.php?email=sahil@gr8ecom.com&referrerid=15954&sts=accept

It is showing me that it is not a valid link.

Another thing, I used to invite all the twitter followers, it showed this in my twitter -

This is a test invitation message sent by AdiInvite contacts inviter script. Please visit www . projectsplanet . org to find out more!

No link to BAF at all.

Please do something.

It is because you did not set the forumpath in admincp > adiinviter options.
Please do this :

1. Login to your vbulletin admincp.
2. Go to AdiInviter Settings (Its on the left side).
3. In general settings, locate "Enter Forum Path" and please specify correct forum path there (i.e. http://www.businessadviceforum.com). Make sure there is no trailing slash (/).

Save the settings and everything will work perfect :)

and choose which one good

Yes that problem is solved now but when I invited my friends in twitter it showed this text there:

I am talking about the link, can't it be an referral link so that we can know that who has referred whom.

Sahil, I've changed the monthly invite limit to 500. Maybe you could please try again and let me know if it works now.

No Fergal, It is still showing me "Number of invitations left : 0" And I am still not able to send any invitations.

Thanks again Sahil, unfortuantely it's taking a little time to get this mod tweaked and running smoothly.

I'm checking out that error you got now and also trying to sort the invite limits.

All invites should now only include links with your referral ID. So you should get the referral credit every time you use the invite system.

I've updated facebook library 2 days a go but haven't released yet... Currently i'm integrating invites history feature for facebook importer. Thats why release has been stacked in next updates.

Sorry but I'm not sure that I understand you correctly. Are you saying that the FaceBook invites are not working in the current version? If that is the case, surely the Facebook button should be removed so that it does not display in the script.

I've been assured by the script developer that the invite limit issue has now been fixed. Please reply here to let me know if you experience any further problems with this.

Yeah,
The limit is know of 500 Invitations.
I think I will be finishing it soon.
