Hi,
I've heard these are the best ways to improve PR.
1. Social bookmarking
2. Social networking
3. Commenting
4. Backlink building
5. Link exchanges
6. Adding new, unique content to it regularly
Which tips would you suggest to increase PR for blogs/sites ?

Hi Sahil
You are right, article marketing is excellent for creating traffic and backlinks.
Classified ad sites like craigslist also help a lot :)

I believe Link exchange would help you alot especially when you do with reputed and high page rank website.
Also, posting your contents at high page rank website would give alot of ranking. However, I believe you should always focus on:
- On your original contents
- Update everyday
- Add fresh and hot contents
- Using correct keywords according to your sitename

I think that PR is all about backlinks.. the more good and valuable backlinks do you have pointed to your website the better PR you'll get!
An indirect way to get a high PR is when you publish quality content, people will link to u and you'll benefit from the link juice.

Well, rumor has it, soon PR won't mean much. But there's a lot of ways to implement into improving your own PR. One is to make sure you content is unique and credible. Have your content be somewhat informative. Another big one is creating back links. Although a lot of people say NoFollow links are NoGood, this isn't exactly the case, it's more a controversy. They still work, it's just your site doesn't get as much "juice" from the back link. Try finding blogs or sites that you can add your link that have a higher PR such as PR3-9. Try to make sure these sites and blogs are somewhat related to yours, as that will help as well.

Definitely to the point, ZakShow. All the rest - social bookmarking, article marketing, blog hopping, press releases, link directory submission, classified ads - are the tools to build backlinks.

Don't forget that making quality posts on related forums, with your link in your signature can also help.

I'd agree and I don't think it's an accident that Google Chrome doesn't have a Google tool-bar add on, to make it easy to determine the PR of every site you visit in Chrome.

I agree with JBMedia too. PR just depends on the backlinks. If a site has many backlinks then it will automatically get a good PR. But what if a site is more popular than a PR 1 website. There is other thing to alexa ranking which is similiar to PR. I don't think so getting PR matters, thing is you get site at the top.
Main thing is you make your site popular and earn some money.

PR is directly related to backlink only. You has high PR backlink, then your PR will increase.
Below is the common way to get backlink
1. dofollow blog commenting
2. dofollow forum posting (using the signature)
3. link exchange
4. directory submission
Always remember that only dofollow bakclink will provide PR to your website/blog which helps on getting better PR. Nofollow link wouldnt helps
