Mumbai being city with all famous personalities & VIPs must for sure offer you good business opportunities since they are the people who often need protection...

Otherwise, Common Man can make a living easily without all these complexities!!!

Have you researched existing companies in this industry, to see what they are doing and what type of customers they are selling to?

Have you spent some time thinking about who your potential customers will be and what sort of profile they have?

You should also spend some time writing up a business plan. You really don't need anything fancy at the outset, but writing a brief business plan will help you to identify potential obstacles and to clarify in your own mind, how the business will function.

At first Welcome to BAF!

It depends upon the area. Mumbai is a crowded city where this business would go far best but especially when the government of that area pay more attention.

Unfotunately, this business applies to standard people and government, and I haven't seen it implemented on local normal people. So, i guess the business won't increase in sales due to few people demanding it.

As regards to security, whether it be home security or business, setting up cameras would be a very good idea especially in busy districts where crime is very rampant. Are you just going to focus on a business mainly dealing with setting up of security cameras Navdeep? If so, the scope would not be that big and I think you'll be missing out on a lot of business opportunities. Some homes or small businesses might not be able to afford security cameras so cheaper security devices like alarms (fire and burglar), high quality padlocks, or other cheaper devices might be their preference.

Anyway, as to setting-up of security cameras, it would be good if you employ the services of a security consultant. He/she will know the ins and outs of the security business and also will have valuable contact info with the police authorities. I'm not sure about security businesses in Mumbai but here in Sg, there are only a few companies that our police/government has authorized to operate here. The security systems that they employ here vary from the very complex systems with 24/7 monitoring that is directly linked to the Police, to the simple DIY security devices that you can buy and install yourself.

I think that
Sales does not depend on only normal people, infact it is more dependent on your targeted market..Some times the choice of which is made upon Demographics..This time demographics that has to be targeted should be based upon Income & Occupation...To be precise products offered by Navdeep is for specially carved niche market...:)

Mumbai is a nice place of India. I think Business goes well there. The business of Security Cameras should go well as more people are putting the security cameras as it is for their own security. Also, you can decide it by looking at the market demand.

very good scope indeed. With the use of CMOS and other technology, security has become hitech and one will get good returns in this business as it is still not fully saturated.

That is a very nice idea indeed. Getting people to use more of these gadgets should not be very difficult as the situation will warrant more of these gadgets. BTW they have been good sales on these type of gadgets in ebay also.
