G'day gang :D

Forum marketing can be a powerful tool for any online marketer or information publisher. But there are serious risks along the path to reaping those long-term rewards.

Forums are communities of living, breathing PEOPLE. They're alive with volatile emotions, prejudices, knee-jerk reactions and more. Offend members of any community and you can find yourself in trouble, booted and banned. Even worse, you can be reported to central block-lists for forum owners... and find yourself blocked from hundreds of potentially useful forums.

That's why I created "The Beginner's Guide to Forum Marketing: How to Survive and Thrive in Forums", a collaborative publishing project for people starting out in online marketing who want to use forums to promote their businesses, but who also want to steer clear of the booby-traps and pitfalls that lie in wait for the inexperienced, careless or clueless.

Hi John,

I to like Fergal signed up for the updates and your course / books seems very interesting. Quick question do you know of any large forum directories that break them out by category and other important features. It seems there are so many good forums to wade through and it at times is hard to tell which ones are still active and what type of rules they adhere to. Thanks for all the useful information as I have really enjoyed getting involved more in various forums lately.
