Q-Who are Technocrats?
Ans-An expert in some technology, especially one in a managerial or administrative role.
A more detailed meaning......
The term "technocrat" in current usage refers to individuals with technical training and occupations who tend to perceive important societal problems as technological in nature, while proposing largely technology-focused solutions to the various problems.
According to this theory, originally introduced by the administrative scientist Gunnar K. A. Njalsson, technocrats are primarily driven by their cognitive "problem-solution mindsets" and only in part by particular occupational group interests. Their activities and the increasing success of their ideas are thought to be a crucial factor behind the modern spread of technology and the largely ideological concept of the "Information Society". This definition goes further than its predecessors in distinquishing technocrats from "econocrats" and "bureaucrats" - groups whose problem-solution mindsets differ from those of the technocrats.
Now I would like to invite discussion on some Technocrats or products having theory of technocracy behind it...!!!!!!
Since it is somewhat complex topic I will start the thread with post of giving example-
1-)To prevent people from riding a Public Transport Vehicle Facility without paying, the carriage's doors could be designed in such a way that a payment was required to open the doors.
2-)Mobile Phones also come under this technology since you cannot talk or make calls unless until you pay for the service.
Thus you can see in both the examples there is blend of both technical skills & management skills so as to solve a specific problem having technology in focus!!!
