View Full Version : Sony recalling 100,000 notebook batteries

About a third of those Lithium-Ion batteries are in the US. Brands of notebooks involved are HP, Dell and Toshiba. The recall's due to fire risk when the batteries overheat. I hope no one here's affected by this but thought it better to let you all know just in case.

Thanks for that Kay, I wouldn't like to be the one covering the cost of that design fault and paying the compensation to the customers who have had fires and burns.

I know, can you imagine! Especially when it's happened already a few years back. I don't think ignorance will be much of a defence since it's not unknown to ever happen to them. Now's not a good time to be upsetting buyers either, even for companies as huge as Sony.
