Hello, can anyone recommend a copywriting book with a particular emphasis on persuasive copy aka the Art of Persuasion. Thanks much!

I've only read one copywriting book that is - "Web Copy that Sells" by Maria Veloso. It's a copywriting book especially written for webmasters. I haven't finished the whole book though, but from reading the first couple of chapters, I was persuaded that it's a very good web copy book.

Read reviews (http://www.amazon.com/review/product/0814472494/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?%5Fencoding=UTF8&showViewpoints=1) on this book.

Thom Hartmann's "Independent Thinker" is a good Copywriting book that you should try. Read the review from the link below and you would find ample amount of material on "persuasion" as well.

Persuasion is a part of copywriting right? So I am reading this book:

Influence: The Psycology of Persuasion
Robert B Cialdini, PHD

Good stuff. Thanks for those other recommendations too.

Yes, you're correct Ross. Persuasion is a part of copywriting but a book on persuasion might not be as focused on persuasion through writing than a copywriting book would be. I haven't read the "Psychology of Persuasion" so please correct me if I'm mistaken in my assumption.

Thanks for posting the update Ross. Do you find that you can write better web copy as a result of what you have read in that book.

Please feel to share any key or interesting points, from the book with us.
