The recent rumour

Recently i saw a youtube video which states that the world will come to an end by 2012. I do not remember the link exactly. But it showed so many proof and argued this point. Many scientists have also nodded their head for this. So what will you do if this is going to be true?

Ya i also read it that by 2012 world will end. One of the reason they gave was that their is no calender listed after 2012. Well i personally dont believe these statement.

No one knows for sure when the world will end. The aim of the video is probably to grow in popularity as much as possible through people spreading the word and talking about it.

It was said that the Mayans are the first to predict that the world will end on Dec 12, 2012. When it was also 1999, they also said that the world will end in 2000 as predicted by Nostradamus. I'm not sure if these predictions are true or not but even if they're true, the experts might have translated the text and dates incorrectly because these dates are not using our normal Gregorian calendar.

After news of the development of the first Atom Smasher that will duplicate the effects of the big bang, people also started saying that the world will end again. I also saw news of a girl in India who committed suicide when she heard about the Atom Smasher which, in my opinion, is quite stupid.

The earth might or might not end on 2012 but we should not panic upon hearing these rumors. It would be a mistake to commit suicide or create havoc just because of rumors on armageddon.

I think things like this gives people something to talk about. The only bad thing is some people go to extremes and commit irrational acts. I don't think anyone can predict the end of the world, as with no substantial proof it is all just speculation.

Ya Fergal i agree with you on this but still there is a little probability that it could be ture. I hope many of you guys must have read about nostradamus, French physician and astrologer who made prediction on twin tower attack and many other things...

I think this is a load of crap. A big load of crap actually. All of this started because of the Aztec dating system and an idea from a king who ruled for 40 years between 600-700 a.d.

I am going to agree with Taki on this. There has been predictions of the earth ending for years and years now, and it has never happened. Of course, I could be wrong, but the only way we will really know for sure is to wait until 2012. I remember how so many people freaked out about the 2000, yet nothing happened. I just take these things with a grain of salt.

I've heard this with different dates and years so many times, the world should have been wiped out from the face of the universe by now. None of these is true. And just in case it is, there is pretty much nothing we can do right.
