It looks as if the forum has not had any posts in the last couple of days (i.e. since 13th May) - apologies if I'm missing some posts. Is the forum active?
Who is it hosted with?

Who is the domain registered with?
Are all the posts original, or is part of the post database copied from elsewhere?
Will you move it to the buyer's hosting account?

Yes, all original.
They will take control of the current hosting account as it cannot be moved without paying a fee.

I see that your forum is a forum about sport discussions. How much money you are earning with daily and monthly compared to the costs?

All we earn is through few ads and donations, so not a lot at all.
There is no costs.

Hello
I was sent here by a member of our forum, and I'd like to talk with you about this site.
Can we talk via email?
I'd like to buy this today or tomorrow.
brandon.sheley[at]gmail[dot]com is my email
looking forward to hearing from you
thanks
-Brandon
PS... I would purchase this and merge it with my general forums (http://www.general-forums.com/blogs/brandon/why-i-started-general-forums-com-3/), which we need more post, so I think your forum would be a good fit.

Hey.
I am still selling the forum. It's been inactive over the past two weeks, but still has 27k posts and about 250 members.
So yeah, BIN price is for $100 still. :)

Forum link is http://extratime.myfanforum.org/
It also comes with the domain name www.extratimeforum.net but that's currently not pointed towards the site. The current statistics at the site are as follows:
Total posts 27129 | Total topics 2331 | Total members 244
Still willing to sell for $100 PayPal.

They will take control of the current hosting account as it cannot be moved without paying a fee.
can you explain this a little more?
If I were to buy this forum and url, would there still be a copy of it at myfanforum.org?
what exactly can be done by paying a fee, how much is the fee?
thx

Hey Brandon, I'm currently discussing the site with you over email but I'll post here too. :)
Buying this forum gives you full control of it. It will be your forum, however it will be hosted at myfanforum.org. If you paid a fee (not sure how much it is, not much though) you could get the database of the forum.
Hope you now understand better.
Thanks.

Not very active tbh, hardly worth $100. I'll give you $15 for it...

27k+ posts and 250 users is worth more than $15. $100 is the price, which is fair and reasonable.

Hello Evan,
thanks for the reply and letting me know the site is for sale again.
Can you locate a link for this free forum hosting that would explain what exactly you're talking about with the "fee".
I would not be interested in the forum if it was allowed to still be hosted elsewhere.
I'm strictly looking for unique content, and if this site after the sale was still hosted and being indexed by google, it's worthless for me.
Can you post or send me some updated stats from the site, maybe a google analytic screenshot or something?
I'm looking for...
unique hits
page views
referral traffic.
thanks for your time

Hey.
I can't find a link for you at the moment, it's buried somewhere in the host. What happens is:
You pay the small fee, you get a copy of the database then get the option to either delete the forum that's on their host or keep it there. You could just delete it. :)
Let me know if you're interested. Seeing as the fee is around $20 I think, I'd be willing to take that off of the price. (So you pay me $80 for the site)

well I also did a little digging around as well and found this page
http://forum.myfreeforum.org/viewportal.php?component=shop
which if I'm reading this right, says it will cost £64.95 (Includes £9.67 sales tax) to export the database.
which is I'm doing the conversion right is almost $90.
64.00 EUR = 89.3294 USD
This is way to much for me, I could maybe give $20 for the site but I would need to investigate this "exporting the DB" option further on the myfreeforum.org site.

Wow, never knew it was that much. I'll have to re-think, but sorry, I can't sell as low as $20.

Can you not do an export from the admin panel.
If you haven't heard this yet... It's called.

No I don't think that can be done, because the post and user tables aren't hosted in the phpBB3 admin panel, they're stored in the MySQL database which isn't in or even reachable from the ACP.

I completely understand, thanks for your site.

The free hosted forums don't generally offer that. I ran a free hosted site for a while and that was the best way we could make money, buy charging for the users to export their forums and move them elsewhere if they wanted. We also made money on the service to remove their site and set it up on a hosted domain and script if they wanted.
I miss that forum but that was 5 years ago and the script we used, isn't even being developed still :(

thanks for the pm's Evan,
you've been a good sport about this (no pun intended)
but the export fee is really killing the sale for me.
even if the forum was just handed over to me, I'm not sure it would be worth it to me to pay 80$ to export it.
thanks again, if you happen to figure out a way to export it and close the forum down for cheaper, please give me a ring.
Regards
-Brandon
